Why Instagram removes your spacing
Depending on the app version and how a caption is pasted, Instagram can collapse empty lines and trailing spaces, which joins your paragraphs into one block. It tends to keep a line that contains a visible or special character.
This tool replaces every blank line with a spacer character and trims stray spaces at the end of lines. The default spacer is an invisible Braille blank, so the gap looks empty to readers. If you prefer a visible divider, choose the dot or dash.
Tips for well-spaced captions
- Keep the first line strong, since only the first line or two show before “more”.
- Use short paragraphs of one to three lines so the caption is easy to read on a phone.
- Put hashtags in their own paragraph at the end.
- Watch the character counter: Instagram captions are limited to 2,200 characters.
- Run the caption through the grammar checker before you post.

Does this work for Instagram bios too?
